That's SO Me! First Post

Kristelle as her newly discovered Type 4 self
Welcome Everyone on the DYT Journey!

This is a brand new blog devoted to me and my friends, sharing our journeys along with way with the Dressing Your Truth energy profiling program.

This is simply my way of sharing the particular parts of the Dressing Your Truth program with my friends, and getting more insights by sharing my stories, and hearing all about yours too!

First of all, let me say that I am truly grateful to Carol Tuttle for creating this program, based on all her knowledge of other programs and techniques, and developing this into the truly profound tool that it has become. (No, I don't work for Carol, but I would if I could!) I just find this program so extraordinary, and I'm telling everyone I know about it.

As a personal success coach myself, I know it can make such a HUGE difference to be working with your own natural energy instead of against it. This program reveals your own Energy Type in a simple, fun, intuitive way...and I think having the ability to talk amongst ourselves will make it an even richer experience!

For now, I want to welcome everyone who wants to, to say hello, introduce yourselves to each other, and ask anything they want to ask. (Not that I'll know the answer, but we can find out together!) Include your Dominant Type for fun, and its description, so that we can all get to know them really well (see under my signature for an example).

Heaven knows, there is great power in simply asking the question, and that, I think, is what brought us all here together....we all wanted to ask some form of:

Who Am I, Really?

And then we got going on this program (or some of us are about to get started).

If you haven't yet started, you can start with the free e-course here:

But here's the link to getting the FULL online program and materials. (I paid full price for this one, but it's on a significant discount now...only $99 down from $249. You guys are SO lucky!) You must use this link to get the discount:

So anyway, let's get going...I'll be doing a lot of the postings here, but I really want you all to comment, weigh in, tell your story, etc.

That will make it fun and detailed, dynamic and insightful, just as all of our Energy Types demonstrate!

Thanks for Being Here with Me,

Kristelle

  1. Thanks for sharing what you have learned with me, Sister! I am a Type 2, through and through. I have already started wearing more blended and flowy tops, more scarves, and accepted that my curly hair is actually the perfect style for me :) It is a relief to finally understand why I am drawn to certain styles, and that its ok NOT to wear something just because everyone else is wearing it. I can stick to MY true nature!

  2. Oh Kristelle....this was a great idea! So, after our conversation yesterday, I awoke with a nagging feeling that I was a Type 4/1....lol....yesterday I thought i was a definite 3. So, I will be viewing the face profiles again. The thing that appeared to me overnight was the 'loner' part-in which i am very much a one man show and i am not one to overextend my circle. I am focused on things and not multi-task orientated which made me think again about being a 3. I am quite a purist by nature and and very linear in my thinking and solid and heavy in thought..So i will now go pay attention to the the type four comments and see...I am optimistic and positive so i am thinking 1 as secondary...hmmnn...

Oh and hello Erika...could you tell me how you came about knowing for sure your type 2?

    2. After reading the Type 2 description, I fit every characteristic! From key words, personality, face profile to colors and style preferences, etc. It was a slam dunk 2 :)

    3. ... :) ..... I think Kristelle said she also has a 2 but it is secondary type; Erika, are you now going to try to find your secondary type?

    4. My secondary is a 4, so Kristelle and I are switched :) That must be why we get along so well!

  3. I haven't gotten as far as figuring out my type yet, but i'll get there! I just wanted to say thanks for doing this - I've been struggling for a few years with "what the hell do I wear?" and I hope this will answer that for me!

  6. okay-day 3, and i have looked at type 4 and although i have many characteristics of this type my physical features are not at all that type, and as a child i NEVER displayed any of the traits. Erika your post inspired me with the 'I know off the bat' what my type is phrase--that innate quality you shared. I think i am avoiding looking at my true self. Why? I know now. I am pretty sure i am a Type 1 and i have been avoiding reading about this type. I have actually avoided reading more on this type and have skipped over the parts..lol...so now i will be honnest to myself and face the sun and read more...thank you Kristelle for having this blog-i consider it like a small diary for myself and others to view. And also thank you Kristelle for saying that you saw strength in my way of expression. So, i'll keep you all updated!

  7. Thanks so much Jennifer for sharing your ups and downs on the journey! It can be a bumpy road for some...it was for me, but it wasn't so much for my friend Cathy who knew instantly she was a type 1 and for Erika who saw so many of her type 2 qualities a right off. I had to work at it before I knew, so carry on.

Go to the Member Center and watch the Brunch with Carol segments!

  8. With Kristelle spending her weekend with me, it is allowing us time to see each other in our uniqueness, being our true 2 and 4. Kristelle dressed for the day in a wonderful sea blue top, with matching blue earrings, just stunning...I realized that instead of blending into the woodwork, she has lines around her! I know that sounds weird, but I actually see her defined, it clear, crisp, straight lines, 4-sister power!

I, on the other hand, wore a bronzy flowy top with a long necklace, and let my curly hair just be what it was. I felt comfy and natural, able to focus on the day instead of wondering what I looked like. What a pleasant break from my worrisome 2-ness :) I am really enjoying this new info.

    1. I just love seeing you show up as your new flowing self! And it's so lovely on you too. Thanks for posting here about the "lines around her". I remember that moment! I saw it too and it sure feels like that. It's a comfort to me to have that line there. When I know where the lines are, I can play within the rules or consciously break them!

There's so much to gain by the energy of all of your Type 2-ness. Especially for you, to not get caught up in worry...to catch yourself when you are, and ask yourself "what questions do I want answered about this?" knowing that you need details filled in to make your plan. But to also know that your plan is just the small here-on-earth plan; you know that there is a larger plan at work too, so that can be a comfort to remember.

      Love ya, Sister!!!!

  9. This sounds like it was such a revealing day. And to think it is only the start of a 'new' freshness in your relationship. As though there is nothing to blurr it up. The clarity of you both..appearing to one another like for the first time. I am going to introduce this course to my 'real-time' sister who lives in Connecticut---although we will be sharing the same room (lol) through skype. I loved hearing of this discovery.

  10. Kristelle, I figured out I'm a 3 all the way from the description of the physical attributes - I'm purposeful, and like the speaker, I don't want to spend a lot of time on stuff that isn't pertinent to what I'm doing. Everything I do, even resting, has a purpose. I'm very task oriented and you should see/hear me walk! They call me Sasquwatch because I walk so hard, and I judge people who walk slow lol. I'm rarely socially acceptable, and I'm truly truly fine with that!

    1. Leigh, have you continued on with your Type 3 adventure? I'm curious if the other videos have triggered anything else for you...does anything else stand out as an "aha"? I know you were puzzled about what to wear. Do the examples they show resonate for you?

(There is a whole video devoted to businesswear, by the way...oddly enough, they don't talk about it for Type 4's because I guess we're so naturally formal anyway, they talk about playwear for us! I thought that was pretty funny....)
